This is a project I created in University where I dyed and patterned natural fibres with
natural dyes. I experimented with modifying the dyes and using different folding techniques to see how the outcomes on the cloth could be altered.

The  colours and patterns I created in the fabrics are inspired by my Country, Gumbaynggirr Country. I have photographed them  on Gumbaynggirr Country in the specific environments I have tried to emulate.

I loved being able to pay homage to my Country and found it interesting how fabric and art can imitate life and landscape. Biomimicry was an area of design I was researching during this time.
